ICEPEX is an organism of certification of products believed by INMETRO, that grants certification of quality of products, with base in norms national, regional and international or technical regulations.
Through ICEPEX, our products are certified in agreement with the norms of quality of the European Community.
INMETRO - Instituto Nacional de Metrologia, Normalização e Qualidade Industrial
INMETRO is a quality guarantee for the consumer. It’s its function to control if the product has been following all the requirements of a norm, specification or technical regulation. The compulsory certification prioritizes safety, health and environmental issues. All the Oficina da Vovó educational products have been certified by INMETRO since January 2005.
By affixing the CE marking, the manufacturer or person placing the product on the market or putting it into service asserts that the item meets all the essential requirements of the relevant European Directive(s). Examples of European Directives requiring CE marking include toy safety, machinery, low-voltage equipment, terminal equipment and electromagnetic compatibility. There are about 25 directives requiring CE marking.
Officially, CE has no meaning as an abbreviation, but may have originally stood for European accordance (European Community) or Conformité Européenne ("European Conformity").
